Founded in 2014, Surviving the Mic has been a survivor-led and volunteer-fueled endeavor.
Recently, we registered Surviving the Mic as a 501c3. We’d like to establish Surviving the Mic as a fully functional non-profit. To that end, we need to set up the basics: systems for accounting, payroll, benefits, and communications.
This fund will help establish all of the above and support StM’s three Executive Directors as they produce more comprehensive programming and services and develop the organization’s first strategic plan.
For close to 10 years, survivors have sown their sweat equity into Surviving the Mic.
